Tater Tours Travels to Canada and then to Columbia River Gorge and NW Conference
My travels started with a short trip to Iowa for my nephew's graduation and then I flew to Spokane, Washington for the start of the Canadian Walking Convention to be held in the beautiful town of Banff, Alberta located in the Canadian Rockies. Before we drove into Canada though, we walked in Spokane and in Coeur d' Alene (2 great walks!) It was great to see a lot of volksmarching friends from the USA and Canada. The sightseeing was magnificent! Pictures below are evidence of that! We continued our journey to Canmore and Calgary Alberta and then to Saskatchewan and Manitoba. We entered back into the USA through North Dakota and ended our trip in Minneapolis, Minnesota. I was just home long enough to mow the grass and do laundry and then it was up to Portland, Oregon to walk the great Columbia River Gorge area. Each Falls walk was unique in it's own way. The walks were a little tough, but well worth it! The NW Conference was held in Portland, in which we did some walks that will be included in the AVA Convention. (Salem, Silver Falls and Mt. St. Helens) With those great walks, the Convention should be a lot of fun. (Seats still available!) When the AVA Committee completes their outline, I will then price and date the trip. So I am now back in Las Vegas, working on upcoming trips and of course, working on 2015 trips and yes, even 2016 trips! (I have some very energetic people who want and like to travel!) Please find a few of the pictures that were taken by the Head Tater.
