Volksmarching Vacations

Want to make your vacation even more interesting?  Want to get an insider's view of your vacation destination?  Want to rack up a bunch of volksmarch "k's" while out of town?  Consider adding volksmarching to your vacation!  Here's how:

  • Find the local volksmarch club for your American vacation destination and do a year round event on your own or walk with an organized club walk if you happen to be in town on a weekend.  Find local clubs here.
  • Spend your vacation time at an organized week long volksmarching event such as at the National AVA Convention, at the Phoenix Festival which features a week of volksmarching events including a volksmarch marathon, or go on an organized volksmarching vacation with a local volksmarch club such as this club that is going to Hawaii to volksmarch.
  • Go on vacation with companies that specialize in volksmarch vacations such as Tater Tours or Walking Adventures International.
  • Mix volksmarching with international travel by checking out the IVV world-wide calendar of volksmarching events here.

UNLV Walk

Our small group enjoyed a wonderful 10k walk around the UNLV campus this morning. Here's some of the things we saw on our volksmarch...

...a memorial to fallen soldiers

...beautiful desert plants

...our walkers with a monument

...art in public places

...our group at the entrance to the campus

North Strip Walk

It was a beautiful day February 2nd on our North Strip Walk  Mary's rewrite of the directions made it easier to follow.  How the year of the dragon were very colorful.  The valentine theme of red was brilliant at the Encore. The dragon at one of the hotels opened it eyes.
