LVHRS Christmas Walk N Party

It's time to suit up for our annual Christmas Walk and Party this coming Saturday, December 19th!

We'll meet at the start point for our Strip walks, the Starbuck's in the Westin on Flamingo, at about 3:45 pm to register and then start off at 4:00 pm. We'll include the lights and show at the Bellagio, outdoor displays at other casinos and then we'll cross the Strip to the Linq, where the High Rollers & Strollers will get pictures at the High Roller.

After the walk, we'll meet at Gordon Biersch Restaurant on Paradise and Flamingo for dinner and games. Start time for dinner will be about 6:00 pm.

on the Colorado River.
Three walks start and end at the Aquarius Resort & Casino -- one of the walks is a new route to Davis Dam along the Colorado River in Laughlin.
For another walk, drive a short distance to the Rotary Park/Heritage Trail walk in Bullhead City, AZ and visit the long-running "Burro BBQ".  Drive a little farther to enjoy a walk along the Colorado River in Needles, CA.

SUNSET PARK NEW WALK OCTOBER 24th

Join us at the inaugural Sunset Park Traditional Walk on Saturday, October 24, 2015 in Las Vegas. This walk is hosted by the Las Vegas High Rollers & Strollers and is rated 1A; medium for strollers and wheelchairs. A short walk from the registration point takes you into and around Sunset Park. You will pass the fishing and small boat pond, numerous ballfields, a Frisbee golf course, and a history walkway. From the scenic overlook, you can see the site of one of the earliest “truck farms” in the Las Vegas valley, which provided food for workers who built Hoover Dam. We will meet at the La Quinta Inn and Suites for registration. Register from 8:00am to 10:00am; finish by 1:00pm. Dogs are welcome; leashes and cleanup required.

To get there: From I15 north or south exit onto 215 East to exit on Eastern North. Left onto Sunset. Start point will be on the left. From the Las Vegs Strip, head south on Las Vegas Blvd and east (left) on Sunset Road. Start point will be on your right.

Each participant, free or paid, must register and sign an Amateur Athletic Waiver and Release of Liability (parent or guardian must sign for minors). The sponsors are not liable for accidents, thefts, and/or material damage. Every effort will be made by the sponsors to make this a safe, enjoyable and memorable event.

30 Years Anniversary

PI Day Walk and NEW Downtown Summerlin Walk

Today we had two celebrations!  We celebrated PI day with of course eating a piece of pie at the beginning of the walk (no calories here) and then initiating our new Peccole Ranch/Downtown Summerlin walk.  We had 12 walkers you participated in this event with a gorgeous day on hand! (As you can tell by the sunshine!)  A lot of favorable comments with our new walk.  Come join us!

South Strip Walk

Today, March 7th, the Las Vegas High Rollers & Strollers walked the South Strip event.  It was another beautiful day to be out walking.  We had a total of 9 people attend the walk ....... Next week we plan on walking the PI day with walking the NEW Downtown Summerlin walk.  Come join us!  More information will be passed on this week.

Saturday Lake Mead Group Walk

 

 

We started the walk going over the Expansion Bridge first having the 1st picture taken under the "Welcome to Nevada" sign.  We had a couple from Hawaii joining us, Bob & Wanda Wright.

 The second picture was taken prior to actually walking over the bridge.  See all the happy faces!

 


After crossing over the Expansion Bridge, we made our way down to Hoover Dam, with this picture taken on the Dam.

Saturday Walk in Boulder City!

Las Vegas High Rollers and Strollers had a scheduled walk in the historic town of Boulder City today!  The weather was sunny and warm.  As you can tell with the walker that is with Al & Susan, that this walk was out of this World!

7 Hills Volksmarch

On January 3rd our group headed out on our first volksmarch of the year.  We walked the 7 Hills volksmarch in Henderson and enjoyed a cool but sunny day with a great group of people!
